James Clar, Founder, has been recognized by numerous publications such as Architectural Lighting, Mark, Axis, IdN, including being awarded the "Design Distinction Award" by I.D. Magazine 2004 for his thesis project done at New York University’s Interactive Telecommunication’s Program. After receiving his Master’s James did work at Benetton's Fabrica design facility in Italy, he was an artist-in-residence at Eyebeam Atelier in New York, and was the inaugural artist for the FedEx Institute of Technology & Lantana Projects in Memphis. James has exhibited at numerous gallery spaces including New Museum of Contemporary Arts, Chelsea Art Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art, Milan Trienniale, and collaborative work for the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) New York. James has been invited to share his insight by guest lecturing at various conferences in New York, Seoul, Tokyo, Memphis, and London.



Eric Mathews, Founding Partner, and a general partner of Mercury Technology Labs. Eric was formerly the Associate Director of Corporate Research and Development of the FedEx Institute of Technology.  At the Institute, he was responsible for leading economic development as well as growing and supporting technology based research activities. Eric's career has been entrenched in the various stages of technology development, including the founding, directing, and developing of new research centers and consortia. Eric has a B.S. in Chemistry from Rhodes College, and an M.S. in Psychology from the University of Memphis. Eric confers with industry and has been quoted in national and international press outlets on the use and influence of technology in modern society and industry.



Marc Diaz, General Partner, has been intrigued withthe convergence of business and technology making things simpler and more streamlined. He applied this practice to the real estateindustry, founding and currently operating Merge Realty and CloseTRAK. Previously, Marc began his career as the Vice-President for the Bond Division of the Financial Services Group of First Tennessee Bank and moved on to become Managing Partner and co-owner of Realty Closing Services, Inc. A pioneer in applying meaningful technology to the field of real estate, Diaz plans to launch MidSouth Residential in the spring of 2006. Currently, Marc also serves as the Entrepreneur in Residence at the FedEx Institute of Technology on the University of Memphis campus running a regional business plan competition. Marc has a B.A in Business and M.S. in E-Commerce from the Fogelman College of Business and J.D from the Cecil C. Humphrey's School of Law at the University of Memphis.

Josh Nimoy, Innovation Engineer, is a globally recognised media arts technologist having shown and lectured in many countries. His experimental robotic typography designs have been featured in iDN and ID magazine, and he is the founder of the Open Source project "Myron", providing machine vision techniques to creatives. Predating the overwhelming onslaught of screen-based interactive whiz-bang on the web, Josh's experimental software art (pieces like Textension and BallDroppings) have been published in art history sources, linked to from online new media academia, and have enjoyed repeat exhibition in the passing decade. Recently, Nimoy's creative problem solving has been employed by Los Angeles' Motion Theory to create novel special effects for broadcast television commercials by Nike and HP. Meanwhile as an artist, Josh recently collaborated to help produce a sculpture shown at the New York Whitney Biennial 2006. Josh has a passion for hacktivism, a strong instinct for the logical engineering process, and a seasoned, peer-celebrated talent for computer programming. Josh Nimoy graduated from NYU ITP in 2004, and was a graduate student advisor at the School of Visual Arts, New York. 



Kanae Ito Clar, Interactive Marketing and Production, graduated with her Masters from New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program, and has since been involved in multiple media projects. She developed from the ground up various websites ranging from hedge funds, fashion designers, and curators. She also curated and organized a series of very successful media art events in New York featuring new technology products, interactive installations, and live performances. Most recently She worked for Ogilvy Interactive in their Tokyo office doing information design and online marketing for global clients.



Wayne Culbreth, Founding Partner, has covered a broad spectrum of entrepreneurial activities, from being involved in the startup of several technology companies to the development of technology based economic development policy. In November of 2004, he completed a year deployment in Iraq with the Tennessee National Guard as Commander of Combined Arms Troop, 3/278th RCT with additional duties as economic development officer for eastern Diyala province. Wayne is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.
