James Clar has been djíng since 1996, getting his start at rave parties in the Wisconsin/Chicago area. His interest in electronics and electronic music is very prominant in his designs as an established light artist, with many of his artworks reacting to sound or visualizing sound though light patterns. In New York he held a weekly party at the East Village spot Tribe and Vig Bar in NoLita. He's also dj'd at various large New York clubs such as Speeed, CroBar, and NV. In the past couple years James has has dj'd in Tokyo at Dave Twomey's Konzept Maus events 2 & 3 and has started working on productions debuting a live PA set during an exhibition at Lab[AU] in Belgium this year.
