Acrylic, Fish, Blacklight FL tubes
Unique
A cube is filled with water and fish. Underneath the fish are an array of ultra-violet lights (blacklights) that light up the fish from below. Because of the properties of UV light, the light source itself doesn't glow but only the light bounced off certain surfaces does. The fish are used as light reflectors, glowing as the UV light is bounced off them. This is an organic lighting system.
Exhibited for Cliche magazine's “Box Art” at traffic, Dubai. 2008
