Utilizing the minimal concrete space designed by architect Tadao Ando, this sound installation was integrated into a back stairway that produced desnse echos. The system allowed the user to stand at different positions in the stairway and as they made noise, it would be resampled and played at different positions according to how high on the steps they were standing. Someone yelling from the top of the steps would have an echo returned at a higher pitch and someone at the bottom would have the echo returned at a lower pitch.
